易胜博’s Carpentry program is designed to prepare students for careers as carpenters in residential and commercial construction, factories, cabinet shops, and building maintenance fields.
The primary activity of the 易胜博 program is the building of a house. This house-building experience includes building layout, foundations, rough framing, roofing, insulation, installing drywall, and interior trim. About two-thirds of the instruction is on the project site constructing a new home.
Program Options
The carpentry pathway prepares students for careers as carpenters through hands on practice to learn safe operation of common equipment used in the industry. Graduates will qualify for employment in commercial and residential construction, cabinet shops, roofers, flooring installers and building maintenance fields.
The Accessory Dwelling Unit Certificate is for individuals entering the construction industry or DIYers who want to design and build their own accessory dwelling unit. The curriculum covers all the must-knows for accessory dwelling units including hands-on experience designing and building an accessory dwelling unit.
Trade Readiness Certificate – as individuals seek a pathway into the construction industry, many will need to receive initial training like tool identification, construction math, safety, and employment strategies.
